Mrs Anna Lee Johnson, 93, rural Blackstone resident, died Thursday morning in Edgewood Nursing Home in Streator. She had been a resident since Oct 18. Her funeral will be at 2pm Sunday at the Hagi Funeral home, Streator, the Rev Herman Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Jones cemetery southeast of Blackstone. Visitation will begin at 3pm Saturday. She was born Oct 17,1872, near Kinsman, daughter of John and Melinda Lee. She was married to Mark Johnson in Ottawa Feb 11,1892. He died Oct 16,1953. Surviving are five sons, Clifford and Verne, Odell and Jay, and LeRoy, Blackstone and Archie, Flemington, N.J.; 3 daughters, Miss Mayme, Blackstone, Mrs Vida Trainor, Manville; Mrs Nellie LeGare, Ottawa; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Belle Bergeson, Ransom, and 2 brothers, Jesse and Henry Lee,Ransom. 3 brothers, 4 sisters and 6 grandchildren preceded her in death. She was the oldest living resident of Sunbury Township. The family has requested that contributions be made in the form of donations to the St Paul Lutheran Church in Rowe.
