He was born March 8, 1950, in Lincoln, the son of Edgar Charles and Joan Stennett Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for 25 years, driving for S&H Trucking in Greenview for the past 11 years. He was a member of American Legion of Greenview.
Survivors: sister, Sandra (husband, Butch) Cook of Lincoln; and companion, Emma Petersson Engnell of Almeboda, Sweden.
Remains will be cremated.
No services are planned. Burial: Mount Pulaski Cemetery at a later date.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
