Marcelyn Rose Barraque passed away peacefully in Placerville on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the age of 79.
Born Marcelyn Rose Fisher in Placerville, to the late Ted and Thelma Fisher.
Marcelyn was preceded by her parents, and late husband, Eugene Barraque in 1999.
She is survived by her loving children, Loretta (Dennis) Bloyed of Newman, CA and Lewis (Stacy) Barraque of Placerville; sister of Delbert, Melvin and Rodney Fisher; beloved grandmother of Dennis Jr., Mandy, Nick and Mikey and great grandmother of Emma.
Marcelyn was a 1952 graduate of El Dorado High School, worked many years for Inter-County Title in Placerville, belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star of Placerville and was a member of the Placerville 7th day Adventist Church. Marcelyn loved history and was an enthusiastic reader who could not pass up a good mystery.
We will miss her deeply.
Private inurnment has been held and at Marcelyn's request, there will be no services. Contributions in Marcelyn's name may be made to Snowline Hospice of El dorado County, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619 orsnowlinehospice.org. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, Placerville.
