Funeral services for H. J. Homrich, 81, 1602 Fifth Ave, Huntington jeweler for 40 years, who died at home yesterday after a lingering illness, will be held Thursday at 4 P. M. at the residence with Dr. S Roger Tyler, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating,

The body was to be returned to the home from Kingel-Carpenter Mortuary today. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
Mr Homrich has been ill for more tha two years and cofined to his home since last January. He was born August 20 , 1862, in Martinsburg VA (WV), a son of the late James M. and Barbara E. Mark Homrich. After receiving his early education in the Martinsburg public schools, he learned the jewlery business with a prominent Philadelphia concern.

He returned to Martinsburg and for a short time was assiciated in the jewelry there with W. L. Jones. Later he became a traveling representative of the Columbus Watch Co. of Columbus, OH, until he established his onw business in Martinsburg.

In April 1892, he opened his jewlery business here (Huntington) at 915 Third Ave, and 1914 he erected the Homrich building at 316 Ninth St. where he operated his store until his retirement in 1932. Since that time the building has been occcupied by C. F. Reuschlein, also a jewler.
