Jesse Keiser, aged 69, one of the best known residents of Ashley, died at his home 20 West Hartford Street, this morning at 5 o'clock of complications.

Mr. Keiser was born and raised in Ashley and was a member of the Ashley Methodist Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife and the following sons and daughters:
R. Melvin, ex-clerk of the courts of Wilkes-Barre, Dr. Harry, burgess of Sunbury; Frank, clerk of the courts; Mrs. Archie Watson, Bessie, Ella and Stella, all of Ashley; two sisters, Mrs. Irvine Belles of Moline, ILL, and Mrs. Chris Philip of Ashley, and one brother, Thomas Keiser of Ashley.

The funeral will be held from the family home, 20 West Hartford Street, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be conducted at the home by Rev. William J. Day of Luzerne, and interment will be in the family plot in the Ashley Cemetery.
