Jay T. Addy, 69, of 68 Erie st S was pronounced dead on arrival at Massillon city hospital Sunday at 12:35 p.m.
Mr. Addy collapsed at his residence and the Perry Ambulance Service took him to the hospital. He had been under doctor's care for some time.
Mr. Addy was born near Seville and lived in Massillon most of his life. He was a retired stationary engineer with Eaton Yale & Towne, Inc.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Arnold-Lynch funeral home with hte Rev. David Patton, pastor of the First United Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in Brookfield cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.
