widow of Dr. W. A. Rothschild,
and for many years a Madison res-
ident, died Sunday in Charleaton [sic],
Ill., the home of her son, Dr.
Don Rothschild. She was 87 years
old.
SInce the death of Dr. Roths-
child, Oct. 11, 1956 she had been
living with her daughter, Mrs.
Helen Bartlett, in Rockford, Ill.,
and with her son in Charleston.
She was born in Platteville, Wis.
where she attended school and was
graduated from Wisconsin State
college, majoring in musical edu-
cation. She was married to Dr.
Rothschild Aug. 4, 1899 in Platte-
ville, shortly after Dr. Rothschild
established his dental practice
here. She and her husband were
prominent in Madison civic and so-
cial affairs for many years. She
was a member of the Presbyter-
ian church here.
Funeral services will be at 4
p.m. Wednesday in the Presby-
terian church with Rev. Condon
H. Terry officiating.
Hallenbeck Funeral Home has
charge of local arrangements.

First Presbyterian church, Rev.
Condon H. Terry officiating.
Interment was in Graceland
cemetery.
She died Sunday in the home of
her son, Dr. Don Rothschild,
Charleston, Ill.
Pallbearers were Harold Piper,
O. J. Tommeraason, Rudolph
Gaeckle, J. F. Stahl, Robert Aus
and A. T. Hagen. Kermit Kiner
sang a sacred selection, accom-
panied by Mrs. Wesley M. Beards-
ley.
Attending the funeral were Mrs.
Helen Bartlett, Rockford, Ill., and
Dr. Don Rothschild.
