Mr. Shacklette had been a well drilling contractor in Jeffersontown for forty years.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alzenia Argabright of Jeffersontown; one son, John Albert Shacklette of Jefferson; 3 grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. W.R. Shacklette and Patch W. Shacklette Sr. both of Louisville; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Richardson of Louisville, Mrs. Nell Brown of Brandenburg. His wife the former Goldie Warner of Witchita, Kansas died 35 years ago.
Funeral services were conducted at Foreman Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Father Martin Frankenberger. Burial followed in Resthaven Cemetery.
