Berthel T. McGaha, age 73 of Scottsboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Bill Venable officiating. Burial will follow in Travis Cemetery.
Mrs. McGaha is survived by her husband – Harvey McGaha from Scottsboro; daughter – Sheila McGaha of Scottsboro; son – Bryan McGaha of Resaca, Georgia; brothers – Cleve (Alice) Travis and Alton (Rachel) Travis; sisters – Pearl Knight, Glenda Soloman, Joyce Merlow, Doris (Lew) Pleasant and Carol Langston; grandchildren – Eric (Leslie) McGaha, Nick (Amber) Thompson, Melissa (Geoffrey) Ward, Melinda Thompson and Renee McGaha; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents – George & Myrtle Travis; brothers – Ed, Alvin & Bill Travis; great granddaughter – Erica Renee McGaha.
