Geneva Dittmeyer Dalton Barton, 85, died Wednesday, June 05, 2013, in Borger.

Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Paul Nachtigall, Interim Hospice Chaplain, and Joe Mabry, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with graveside rites courtesy of Pampa Chapter #65 Order of the Eastern Star. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Barton was born Aug. 4, 1927 in Pampa to Frank and Lona Dittmeyer. She was a lifelong resident of Pampa and was a 1946 graduate of Pampa High School. Geneva married Paul W. Dalton on June 30, 1946 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1995. She later married William O. "Bill" Barton on March 22, 1997 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2002. Geneva worked for her family's business, Brown Street Grocery, for several years and later worked for Ideal Food Stores and Culligan Water for several years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Civic Culture Club, Progressive Extension Education Homemakers Club, and Panhandlers Camping Club. Geneva was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Pampa Chapter #65 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club and was a Lady Shriner.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Winkleblack and husband James of Pampa; a son, Robert "Bob" Dalton and wife Joy of San Angelo; two stepsons, Larry Barton and wife Donna of Amarillo and Randy Barton and wife Sandra of Edmond, OK; a stepdaughter, Joanie Lovelace and husband David of Mustang, OK; six grandchildren, Thomas Winkleblack and wife Melissa of Argyle, Paula Winkleblack and Kaycee Hooper, both of Amarillo, Robyn Swift and Ryan Dalton, both of San Angelo, and Robert Dalton, Jr. of Clyde; seven great grandchildren, Taylor Tubbs, Marissa Swift, Kyra Moyer, Haley Dalton, Jessica Dalton, Liam Dalton, and Paisley Dalton; a sister-in-law, Lois Dittmeyer of Pampa; a brother-in-law, Jack Hilton of Pampa; and by several stepgrandchildren and step great grandchildren. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Beverly, a brother, Robert Dittmeyer, and two sisters, Juanita Wood and Martha Hilton.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Lori McCarthy, Deborah Ferrell, Carla Smith, Debbie Douglas, and Robbie Dunn of Interim Hospice and to the staff at Caprock Nursing and Rehab in Borger for their wonderful care given to Geneva.
