Earl Joseph Lasche,84, of Anamosa, formerly of Dyersville, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in his home after a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, by the Rev. Jerry Blake. Burial: St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where a Scripture service begins at 7 p.m.
Survivors include five daughters, Janet K. Lasche of Cedar Rapids, Carol Ann (Martin) Ries of Dyersville, Doris Jean (Michael) Ries of Dubuque, Linda Marie (David) Baker of Solon and Connie Marie (Terry) Domenick of Ambridge, Pa.; two sons, David of De Witt and Kevin of Earlville; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Earl was preceded in death by three sisters, Alvina Marriatt, Inda Evers and Leona Lasche; and two brothers, Albert and Clarence.
Mr. Lasche was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Dyersville, the son of Henry and Anna Lappe Lasche. He was married to Joan Fesler for 34 years. Earl was the plant manager for Standard Oil in Petersburg, Iowa, until his retirement in 1977.
