Helen Gjerde, 77 of Lake Elsinore, California passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Hemet Valley Medical Center. Born Thursday, May 4, 1933 she was a homemaker. She loved to cook, clean and take care of the family and children. She was a big bingo fan and could be referred to as a Bingo Artist. She loved to watch the weekly standards Family Feud, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Cooking was also a passion for her and the family looked forward to Thanksgiving dinner every year. She took a number of car trips around the country and along those trips she was always afraid of the tire hounds. She was not too thrilled when there were crowds around but she always had fun. Shasta diet cola.... there was one vice she could not enjoy more...morning , noon and night she could be seen drinking her favorite beverage.
Surviving are sons, Rob and Bernadette Gjerde of Lake Elsinore, CA, Ron and Susan Gjerde, of Bloomington MN, Rick Gjerde; daughter , Lorraine Gjerde of Lake Elsinore; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and very close friend Teri Calderon.
