ROBINSON, Katharine C.(Winslow)
4/26/1927 - 2/03/2012

Kitty passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Friday, February 3rd , 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, from sudden medical complications.

She is survived by her husband Jed Russell Robinson and Charley; sons, David (Terri) and Andrew (Rosemary); grandkids Anjanette (David), Elizabeth (Ryan), Jacob (Melissa) and Aimee (Traver); nine great-grandkids and three great-great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet and two sons, Gale and Anthony.

Born in Spokane, Kitty graduated Lewis and Clark HS 1944. She owned and operated the ABC Letter Shop for two decades. Always a traveler, she spent many weekends a year traveling with her family throughout the Greater Northwest. Kitty was a Band Mom, Chauffer, Seamstress, Accountant, Personal Manager, and the Responsible Person for a Rock band of underage teens in the 60's, even traveling on the road with them.

Kitty worked many years in the medical community; most notable were several years with Drs. Robinson, Gilpatrick and Rice. She was one of the original founders of the Inland Empire Cystic Fibrosis organization in the 1950's, started because of her son Gale's illness.

After retiring in the 1980's she and Russ became RV snowbirds, spending winters in southern Nevada and Arizona locales. She and Russ cruised to Alaska, Hawaii and South America. They eventually traveled to all 50 states.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas and especially to Maria Huerta, RN for the loving care she received.

A family burial and memorial will be held later this spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or Hospice House of Spokane.
