MUNCIE - William C. "Bill" Bantz, 77, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 2, 2013 at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born October 9, 1935 in Muncie, the son of G. Curtis and Anna R. (Vining) Bantz.
Bill graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1954. Bill worked for Delaware Machine for thirty-three years until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Fountain Square United Methodist Church. Bill married Carolyn S. Barnett on May 7, 1955.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Bantz (wife, Frances) of Orlando, FL and Terry Bantz of Muncie; one daughter, Kristi Bantz Chamberlain (husband, Don) of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Tyler, Katie, Kyli, Natalie, Liam and Kali; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Bates (husband, Howard) of Muncie and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carolyn S. Bantz on August 14, 1997.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Rev. Steve Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
