Faith Alice Wood, the little six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Wood of Caddo, Oklahoma, passed away at the Durant hospital there Thursday afternoon according to a message received by relatives here that evening. The little girl was taken ill with an attack of appendicitis Monday and underwent an operation Tuesday. She rallied from the operation and her condition appeared very favorable until shortly before she passed away.
She was born at College Station, Texas, April 2, 1923, where her father was then teaching. Mrs. Wood was formerly Miss Lottie Snyder of Waseca. A large circle of relatives and friends in this community extend sincere sympathy to the parents, and brother George in their great sorrow. William Wood left for Caddo and accompanied the remains to this city. The funeral services were held from the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Dunn, 306 5th street SE, yesterday afternoon at two o'clock with Dr. W. I. Kern officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Woodville cemetery.
