Mr. Myers was assisting a brother, Daniel F. Myers, to put away a thresher yesterday afternoon between 3 and 4 o'clock when without any warning a board fell from the thresher and struck him a glancing blow on the side of his head. The blow stunned him for a time but after he recovered sufficiently he resumed his work. He remarked to his brother after the accident that the board probably would have "laid him out" had it struck him directly on the head. After he had worked for a while after the accident, Mr. Myers complained of feeling ill from the effects of the blow.
Because of pain he went to bed about 8 o'clock last night. During the entire night members of the family heard the man's moaning. Myers remarked that he would "be alright." When he did not get up at his usual time this morning, the mother investigated and she found his lifeless body.
