Stella M. (Podobnik) Bolkovac, 84, of Walkersville, Md., formerly of Delmont, died Monday, April 8, 2002, in Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Walkersville. She was born Nov. 12, 1917, in Export, a daughter of the late Ignace and Antonia (Primozick) Podobnik. She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, the S.N.P.J. Lodge and the White Valley AMVETS Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Bolkovac; a sister, Antoinette Bolkovac; and a brother, Frank Podobnik. Stella is survived by her loving daughter, Marie Hamilton and husband, James, of Walkersville, with whom she lived; and two grandchildren, Michelle (Hamilton) Kershner of Germantown, Md., and James Hamilton of Baltimore, Md. Family and friends will be received at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., at Twin Valley, 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Stella's funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church with Father William C. McGuirk as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Kevin P. Altman, supervisor in charge of arrangements.
