Rena Mae Burgmeyer, 78, of Bowling Green passed away Saturday June 1, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Siteman Care Center in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Tom Hufty officiating. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 4 at the funeral home.

She was born November 5, 1934 in Louisiana, MO, the daughter of Leo and Rena Marie Cody Holland. She married Don Burgmeyer and he survives. Other survivors include her children Carolyn (Bill) Irvine of Bay City, TX, Anna (Larry) Moore, Butch (Becky) Boyer, Cindy (Eddie Potter)Adkison , Bill Hawkins, all of Bowling Green and Betty (Glenn)Jacobs of Portland, TX; Grandchildren Laura Espinoza, Terry Collins, Pam Gunderson, Randy (Kim) Moore, Lynn (Rich)
Wilkinson, Steven (Kayla) Moore, Sam (Cheryl) Boyer, Margaret Cox, Heather McMillen, Sam McMillen, Jeff Adkison (Amber Allen), Scott Adkison (Deanna Brewer), Jeremy Adkison, Billy Hawkins, Carlie Berry (Russell Carlson), Nolyn Jacobs and Brayden Jacobs; Great Grand Children Larry Jacobs, Lorenzo Espinoza, Leighsa Espinoza, Krissy Gunderson, Junior Campbell, Brian Malon, Chris (Kayla Allen) Moore, Brian Moore, Katie Wilkinson, Cody Wilkinson, Amanda Wilkinson, Hunter McMillen, Allison Hays, Caytlyn Smith, Zack Smith, Joshua Cox, Marissa Cox and Colbie Adkison; Great Great Grand Children Brandon Gunderson and Carson Kniess; Sister Margaret Cloninger. She was preceded
in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Glenn and Bill Holland and a great granddaughter, Renee Marie Gunderson.

Rena grew up in the Lick Valley neighborhood in Louisiana and attended Lick Valley elementary school before graduating from Louisiana High School. After she married Don they moved to Texas and later moved back to Bowling Green.
She was a Baptist by faith. Rena loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed raising flowers and her passion was going to the Kountry Store where she had been a part of for the past 10 years, turning the customers into her friends. Her friendliness, ready smile and acceptance of everyone she met made her a friend to be treasured.

Rena was a loving wife and devoted Mother and Grandmother.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Moore, Steven Moore, Chris Moore, Brian Moore, Jeremy Adkison, Scott Adkison, Jeff Adkison and Billy Hawkins.

Memorials may be made to the Kountry Friends Relay for Life Team or Siteman Cancer Center.
