WESLEY H. ACKERSON was born is Sussex county, New Jersey, in 1845 and was a son of Aaron A and Lucy A. Ackerson nee Peters. In 1869, our subject and one brother came to Greenville; he clerked for Martin Kier, of Homer City, for two years; and was engaged in the feather renovating business for two years. He removed to Pine Flat, and had been engaged in the General Store trade; he was married in 1870, to Sarah J. Snyder, of Mechanicsburg.

Wesley Ackerson

Wesley Ackerson, of Virginia, died at the home of his brother, J.P. Ackerson, of Cherryhill township, on Saturday night, of a complcation of diseases, at the age of 53 years. Mr. Ackerson is well known about Marion center and Pine Flats, where he kept store previous to his removing to Michigan. About a month ago he removed to Virginia. He was paying his brother a visit when death overtook him. He is survived by his wife and one son. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wylie, on Monday at 1. The interment was made in Greenwood cemetery.
