Born in Sherwood, she came to Salem in 1941. She was a professional housekeeper and enjoyed gardening, cooking, music and playing cards. She married Jacob in 1933; he died in 1962.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris Nelson of Salem; son, James of Othello, Wash; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. Services and interment will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lee Mission Cemetery.
