MONTICELLO…..Funeral services for Carl Henry Brockhohn were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, rural Monticello, with the Rev. Otto Zwanziger officiating. Burial was made at Wayne Zion.
He died Dec. 7 at the Brockhohn farm home west of Monticello, following a heart illness of several months.
Born Mar 1, 1885 at Langworthy, he was the son of John and Marie Bodicker Brockhohn. He was married to Anna Monk of Langworthy March 20, 1929 In the Monk home near Langworthy and they made their home on a farm in Cass Township. He lived on the home farm for the past 61 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Monk Brockhohn, one son, Lawrence H. Brockhohn, now farming his father's farm; and a daughter, Darlene, Mrs. Floyd Carpenter of Earlville. He is also survived by one brother, Garret Brockhohn of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister besides his parents.
Pallbearers included his nephews, Ernest Brockhoh, Leonard Darrow, Garret Moenk, Clarence Prull, Donald Monk and Lawrence Brockhohn.
