Mrs. Gertrude Arendall Taylor, 25, of Mercer, TN died yesterday afternoon at Jackson General Hospital, following an illness of about six months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Mercer Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev Charles Taylor. Burial will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery, with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Luray, TN and had lived in Mercer most of her life. She married Bobby Allen Taylor, of Mercer, in July of 1950.
Her husband, Bobby Taylor survives as do her parents Brian and Bettie Threadgill Arendall of Lavinia; a daughter, Bonnie Marie Taylor of Mercer; two brothers, Elbert Arendall of Jackson and Bill Arendall of Hopkinsville, Ky; and a sister, Mrs. Marie Moore of Memphis.
Pallbearers will be Jack Foote, John Turner, Ralph and James Lewis, Arthur Harris, and Hugh Burton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Mulherin, Roy Harris, Bird Willoughby, Hix Foote, Elbert Siler and Murphy Laney.
