Centreville - Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Murphy, 73, of Centreville, who died Tuesday at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Brent Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Johnston and Rev. Carl Dockery will officiate with burial in the Centreville Memorial Cemetery and Rockco Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Forest "Ed" Murphy Sr. of Brent; Five daughters, Mary Carr of Camden, Ark., Margaret Burnette of Ypsilanti, Mich., Betty Crew of Pell City and Carolyn Tubbs and Glenda Murphy, both of Brent; two sons, Forest E. Murphy Jr. of Tuscaloosa, and Wallace Murphy of Brent; one brother, Isaiah Kornegay of Vance; 12 grandchildren' and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Rockco Funeral Home.
