Miss Clarinda Jane Comer was the daughter of John and Mary White Comer.
She was married to Anthony Marion Clubb on on 26 Sep 1867 at Moniteau, Missouri
A. M. Clubb was an early day pioneer of the Jasper county area and as a young man had farmed during the 1870's in the early days of their marriage. He then became associated with his father and 2 brothers in the grocery business. Shortly before he died, he had decided to return to farming again. He contracted pneumonia in the winter of 1912 and died.
Clarinda was 69 years old when she passed away from unknown natural causes according to her Missouri Death Certificate. The informant listed on the dc as Mrs. H. L. Neihardt is A. M. & Clarinda's daughter Mary Gertrude and most likely Clarinda was living with her at the time of her death.
She was buried in Park Cemetery in Carthage, MO. next to her husband under the direction of Knell Undertaking Company of Carthage.

Former Carthage Woman Succumbs Suddenly in Joplin
Mrs. Clarinda Jane Clubb, 70 years old, former Carthage resident, died suddenly at her home in Joplin Tuesday night from heart disease. She collapsed while sitting in a chair conversing with her sister, Mrs. Comer, of Carthage. Previous to the attack she apparently had been feeling well as usual and during the day had canned a quantity of fruit.
Mrs. Clubb moved to Joplin from Carthage five years ago.
Note: it should be noted that the actual obit mistakenly identified her husband in it as J. W. Clubb, who was engaged in the hardware business there,. . .
Correctly is should read that he was A. M. Clubb and was engaged in the grocery business.
. . .died suddenly last September. He was stricken while working on the roof of a building. Two sons and a sister of Mrs. Clubb also have died suddenly within the last few years.
One daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Neihart [Neihardt] of Joplin, the sister, Mrs. Comer, and a brother, Wilson Comer of Picher, OK., survive.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the home in Joplin. Burial was in Park Cemetery here.
