"C.R. Walden was born June 10, 1918 in Warren County, Tennessee. He was the first child of Charles F. Walden and Arlie Evalina (Hudson) Walden. He was raised in Oklahoma where his family removed when he was about two years of age.
On July 24, 1940, Raybern married Iva Aline Jones in Durant, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma during the first years of their marriage and three of their children were born there. They later moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, living first in a house on Maple Street, then on a farm near Thornberry, before building their present home of 50 years on Charlie Road. He was a retired employee of Wilson Manufacturing.
He died Monday, September 10, 2001 shortly before 8:00 p.m. at Grace Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was 83 years old." (from funeral card by Teresa Wilson Wiese).
