He served his country proudly during WW II serving in the U.S. Navy. After his tour of duty, he spent the next 40 years as a captain of the seas and retired from Olin after 20 years of service.
His survivors include a daughter, Tanya Susan Alford, of Pensacola; sister, Virginia Alford Lindstrom, Memphis, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a faithful dog "Pooch."
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy. Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery
