George was a son of George W. Duren, Sr. and unknown mother. He first married Nancy J. Link (b. 1865 MO). After her death in 1899 he married widow, Ollie Shaffer on July 2, 1900. After Ollie's death in 1918, he married Cora Lynn who was a widow. She survived him.
By Nancy, George had 6 known children: Frank (b. 4/1880), Dollif (son--b. 8/1883), Charles Edward (b. 8/1885), Ada (b. 8/1887), Etta (b. 3/1890), and Gertrude (b. 5/1891). By Ollie he had 2 additional sons: Homer and George. I do not believe he had other children with Cora.
