Helen C. Harford, 86, of 631 Crew Avenue, Galion, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Center, Galion. Born February 28, 1918 in Smithfield, Penn., she was the daughter of the late James Howard Miller and Blanche (Warman) Miller.

She was preceded in death on November 21, 1984 by her husband, Weldon W. Harford whom she married on December 24, 1948.

She was a member of Galion First Church of the Nazarene. She was a waitress at McNew's Restaurant and also at Tom Boy Drive-In in Galion for 20 years.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Richard Cressman, of Hilliard; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Weldon W. "Jack" Harford, Jr. of Galion, Roger L. and Jong Harford, of Baltimore, Md.; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a one sister,
Alta Hughes, of Springfield, Ill.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call one hour prior to services from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Galion First Church of the Nazarene where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004 with Rev. T. J. McNew, III officiating.

Interment will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens.
