JAMES H. TUNNICLIFF, 65 of Wyalusing RR 3, Rummerfield Road, Herrick Township died Thursday afternoon, Nov. 30, 1995 at his home following a period of declining health. Born Feb.22, 1930 in Gillett he was a son of the late Leon and Lana Brown Tunnicliff. James was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Tunnicliff owned and operated his own automobile service garage in Herrick Township for the past 25 years. Surviving are; his wife, Betty Hicks Tunnicliff at home; his children and their spouses, Wayne and Lorraine Tunnicliff of Nichols, N.Y., Dawn and Dean Magee of Mistic, Conn., James and Kathy Tunnicliff of Salata, Okla., Sevelon and Kay Tunnicliff of Wyalusing, Ricky Tunnicliff of Wyalusing, Dallas and Tammy Tunnicliff of Waverly, Debra Tunnicliff of Erie, Ivan and Tammy Tunnicliff of Nichols, N.Y., Leon and Dawn Tunnicliff of Wyalusing and Betty and John Carr of Myersburg; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Romaine Tunnicliff of Wyalusing RR 3; two sisters, Sylvia Hicks of Melbourne, Fla. and Lillian Borden of Hensdale, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Tunnicliff and two sisters, Cleo and Margaret Tunnicliff. The funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 3, 1995 at 2 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral home, 217 York Ave., Towanda with the Rev. James Donahoo, pastor of the Sayre Christina Church officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills with Towanda American Legion Post No. 42 according full military honors. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials may be directed to Guthrie Hospice, RR 1 Box 154, Towanda, Pa. in James Tunnicliff's memory.
