Wilma W. Kraus was born December 12, 1923, to William Wesley "Wes" Waugh and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Shuman) Waugh in Harper County, OK.
She married Kenneth J. Kraus June 29, 1952. Wilma was a homemaker as well as working with her husband, Kenneth, doing all kinds of farm chores, feeding cattle, horses,
chickens, fixing fence on the family farm northwest of Buffalo, OK., and helping Kenneth on roof tops around town. After their children were grown, they moved into Buffalo.
She had lived in Harper County all of her life.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Buffalo.
A resident of Buffalo she died at the age of 85, June 8, 2009 at Shattuck, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kraus; infant daughter, Ann Elizabeth Kraus; her parents; sisters, Edith L. Waugh, Ellen Waugh and Amy Jordan; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great
grandchildren.
Survivors were two sons, Ronnie Kraus and Rickey Kraus; daughter, Joy Berends and Husband Rodney ; twin Brother, William Waugh and wife Wilma; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 12, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Buffalo, with burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
