Mrs. Irene Lemmons, widow of Jessie Clifford Lemmons, died early Sunday morning at her home, 142C Preston Street. She was 65.

Mrs. Lemmon was born in Carroll County, daughter of the late William F. and Annie Russell Earp and at an early age moved to Jackson where she was later married to Mr. Lemmons. He died in 1927.

Mrs. Lemmons was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joe K. Terry of 24 Larimer Drive; two grandchildren, Joe Terry Jr., who is serving in Vietnam, and Mrs. Samuel Britt Owens of Decatur Ala.; one brother F.B. Earp of Alamo, and two sisters, Mrs. L.E. Williams of Jackson and Mrs. Horace Leach of Birmingham Ala.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Hollywood Cemetery with Lanier Funeral Home in charge. Dr. R. Trevis Otey, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. The body will be at the funeral home.
