Geraldine I. (Beck) Pettigrew, 96, formerly of Leechburg, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in West Haven Manor, Washington Township. She was born July 13, 1916, in Charleroi, daughter of the late James Cheshure, her adoptive father, the late Margaret Mobley Potts, her adoptive mother, the late Samuel T. Potts and the late Iris Irene (Ellenburger) Cheshure Potts. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Oscar Beck, who died in 1968, and her second husband, George Thomas Pettigrew, who died in 1987. She was an avid artist and enjoyed oil and water painting. She enjoyed sewing and spending time in her flower garden and enjoyed flower arranging. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Ward; her stepbrothers, Ernest and Eugene Mobley; and her stepsisters, Fern Mobley and Donis Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Lappa, of Lower Burrell; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. There will be no public visitation. Funeral ceremonies will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are by CLAWSON FUNERAL and CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
