Leslie Carol (Felker) Adkins, 53 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Josie Harper Hospice House, Omaha, NE. She was born August 5, 1959 in Torrance, California to Larry Alan Felker and Mildred Joann (Horn) Felker. Leslie was born and raised in Torrance, CA through the second grade. Then she moved with her family to Plattsmouth. Leslie graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1978. After high school she married the love of her life Kenneth Adkins. Then she attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education. She taught special education at Bryan Middle School for 20 years. She was a member of the Nebraska Education Association. She was preceded in death by her father: Larry Felker, brother: Phillip Felker, maternal grandparents: John & Mildred Horn, paternal grandparents: Jimmy George & Eugenia Felker, aunt: Cathy Horn and mother-in-law: Imogene Adkins. Leslie is survived by her husband: Kenneth Adkins of Plattsmouth, NE; two daughters: Jennifer Hitchcock & husband Luke of Lincoln, NE; Allison Bergland & husband Carl of Plattsmouth, NE; two sons: Kenneth Adkins & wife Ashley of Plattsmouth, NE; John Adkins of Plattsmouth, NE; two grandchildren: Erick Hitchcock & Kristofer Hitchcock; mother: Joann Felker of Plattsmouth, NE; one sister: Diana Pasco & husband Russ of Lincoln, NE; three brothers: Mark Felker of Lincoln, NE; Jim Felker of Lincoln, NE; John Felker of Auburn, NE; father-in-law: Ronald Adkins of Plattsmouth, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, May 31 from 1-5 p.m. at Roby Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary Service followed by Vigil Friday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Holy Spirit. Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Spirit, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 with Father Thomas Au officiating.
