McLoud resident Herbert L. Large, 76, passed away Tuesday, June 8, at an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born June 8, 1928, in McLoud to Jewel and Nettie Large. He attended McLoud schools andd was the owner of H&L Lumber in Midwest City until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McLoud.
His parents; a son. Lawrence Large, and two daughters, Laura Villines and Ella Large, proceded him in death. He married Jackie Lou Trollinger December 5, 1949, in Seminole. She proceded him in death Dec. 26, 1991.
Mr LArge is survived by a daughter, Rita Hale of Lone Grove; Son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Joan Large of Caddo; six grandsons; three granddaughters; and six great-dreanchildren; two sisters, Jeanette Summer and her husband, Don of Shawnee, and Bonnie Kubiak of Oklahoma City, and two brothers, Fred Large and his wife, Ann, of Edmond and Ernest Large of Temple, Texas.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in McLoud with the Rev. Ernest Graham officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bill Derrick. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Shawnee.
