Barbara Jean Campbell Bryant, 73, of 407 Florida Avenue, Nahunta, passed away Friday May 24, 2013, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross.

She was born in Trenton, FL to the late Edith Davis and Henry Wilson. She was educated in the school system of Trenton, FL, and Homerville. She was a retired cook at the V.A. Hospital. Later in life, she relocated to Nahunta where she met and married the Rev. Jimmy Bryant. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and was also active at Miracle First Born Church, both in Nahunta. She served as leader of the young people's choir and the adult choir.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Campbell.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband, the Rev. Jimmy Bryant; sons Daniel Bryant, Nahunta, Calvin Perry, Alabama, John Perry, Lake City, FL, Tyrone Perry, Morgan, and Quinton Phoenix, Buffalo, NY; daughters, Inell Bighams (Ervin), Homerville and Alnora Carter (Tim) Hoboken; eight grandchildren, Anderson Perry, Eiysa Hamilton, Rashay Carter, Contrell Carter, Patrisha Perry, Whitney Perry, John Perry and Victoria Forth; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera Jenkins, Lake City, FL; Pearly Ann Sims, Marie Lane and Janice Sims, all of Trenton, FL, Willie Jean Timble, Gainesville, FL; a brother-in-law, Causey Shaw, Bridgeport, CT; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Joyce Tumblin (Willie) and Mary B. Stephens, both of Albany; nephews, Albert Bryant (Teresa) Folkston, Wilmon Jamar Bryant and Arzoreion Bryant, both of Albany and Anthony Nixon and Chad Nixon, both of Douglasville; nieces, Jessica Bryant, Albany, Yolanda Nixon and Marquesia Atwater, both of Douglasville, Gail Holston, Bridgeport, CT and a host of foster children, additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the Little Rock Baptist Church, 139 Florida Avenue, Nahunta. The family is also receiving friends at the residence, 407 Florida Avenue, Nahunta.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, from the Southside Baptist Church, 550 School Circle, Nahunta, where the Rev. Jerry Johns pastor. Her husband, the Rev. Jimmy Bryant of Little Rock Baptist Church, will deliver words of comfort. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Waynesville.

The remains will lie in state from noon until the hour of service Saturday.
The cortege will assemble at the residence at 407 Florida Avenue, Nahunta at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
