Jerry Wesley Struhal, 90, of Del City, died on June 20, 2010.
He was born May 2, 1920 in Moore, Oklahoma, to Gus and Vlasta (Sudik) Struhal. Jerry married Minnie Mussyal February 15, 1947 in El Reno, Oklahoma. Minnie preceded him in death on June 9, 2007, after 60 years of marriage. He served during World War II in the U.S. Air Force while in the European theater. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 30 years of service. He was a member of the VFW 9969, Moose Lodge 1235 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Methodist Church for many years. Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Emil Struhal and Helen Daniels; and daughter, Deborah Johnson. Survivors include two granddaughters, Cristy and Rhonda Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several cousins. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Czechoslovakian National Cemetery at S.W. 44th and Villa.
