Memorial services for Pattie Ruth (Hearnsberger) Emmons, 82, of Lufkin, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Denman Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Charles Roberts officiating. Mrs. Emmons was born November 10, 1930 in Calhoun County, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lucille (Ritter) and Zealous Hearnsberger. She passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Emmons was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She especially enjoyed cooking for everyone who came along. Mrs. Emmons was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Jackie Rhea and Virginia Leitner; sons and daughters-in-law, James Allen 'J.C.' and Cynthia Carroll, Mark and Shanda Emmons; daughter-in-law, Martha Carroll; grandchildren, Tony, Jodee, Allen, D'Ann, Dean, Missy, Malei, Ryan, Katie, Tammy and Brian; and a number of great-grandchildren and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Emmons was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Carroll and Vernis Emmons; son, Danny Carroll; sons-in-law, Richard Rhea and Rudy Leitner; and a number of siblings.

Mrs. Emmons had a special friend and neighbor, Kathy, who was for always there and watching out for her.

Cremation arrangements placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
