MILDRED DRUMMOND PARKER, 85, of New Castle, left this earth and entered into her heavenly journey on Friday afternoon, August 2, 2002 with her family at her bedside at Richfield Nursing Center, Salem. Mildred is the daughter of the late George William and Etta Craft Drummond. She is survived by her son, Donald E. Drummond, of New Castle; grandson, Jeff Drummond; granddaughter and husband, Missy and Keith Ring; granddaughter, Stephanie Drummond; along with former daughter-in-law, Una Lake Drummond, all of New Castle.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2002 at Crossroads Church with Jack Ford and Jim Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Paitsel Funeral Home, New Castle. Special thanks to the Nursing Staff at Richfield for all your care and comfort during Mildred's final hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crossroads Church Building Fund, Route 3, Box 2223, New Castle, Virginia 24127.
