Sylvia Ann Alford, 70 of Magnolia died May 26, 2013 at Bildora Nursing Home in Tylertown.

Ms. Alford was born on June 20, 1942 in Pike County to the late Jesse and Rayleen Brown Hall.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and she worked in the food service industry most of her life. She was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons Duane Alford and his wife Jackie of Brandon, Wade Alford and his wife Lori of Magnolia, two daughters Deanna Lewis and her husband Cannon of McComb, Diane Welch and her husband Wendell of Liberty; three brothers Billy Hall of Magnolia, Cecil Hall and his wife Barbara of Tylertown, Rev. Wayne Hall and his wife Jeanette of Magnolia; one sister Bonnie Hall of McComb; thirteen grandchildren Eric Alford and wife Jennifer, Joshua and Jacob Alford, Jesse Alford and his wife Lana, Kimberly Templet and her husband Jacob, Nathan Wilkins, Champagne and C.J. Lewis, Cristina Barns, Douglas Coon, Blake Welch, Brennan Welch, Bridgette Welch; three great grandchildren, Karsyn and Kyliegh Alford and Justin Scherer and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Jones Family Funeral Services from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and will continue Thursday from 9:00 until funeral service at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Rev. Jimmy Smith and Rev. Lonnie Case will officiate. Burial will be in Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia.

Pallbearers will be Jesse L. Alford, Blake Welch, Nathan Wilkins, Cannon Lewis, Brennan Welch and Jacob Alford.
