March 31, 1921 - Carroll Times - Mrs. Frank Eich died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Eltgroth, yesterday morning. The funeral will be held at the Holy Angel Church at Roselle, Saturday morning at ten o'clock and burial will be made at the Roselle cemetery beside her husband and son.

Miss Catherine Wolterscheid was born in Germany in 1845. In 1868 she came with her husband, Frank Eich, to the U.S. and settled in Illinois where they lived three years. Then moved to a farm near Halbur, where they lived until the death of her husband, thirteen years ago. After that she made her home with her daughter Elizabeth at Bancroft,
Iowa.

Of the seven children, six are living, Sister Lucia of Arcadia; Joseph of Spencer, Iowa; Mrs. Catherine Eltgroth, Carroll; Elizabeth of Bancroft; Charles of Halbur, Iowa; Frank of Cleveland, Ohio.

One son died at age of twelve years.

She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters: Chas. Wolterscheid of Wichita, Kansas; Wm. of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Mrs. Chris Hausman of Bonesteel, S.D.; Mrs. Henry Enenbach, Arcadia; and Mrs. Peter Bellinghausen of Halbur. Twelve grandchildren also survive and one great grand child.
