Regina Alesczyk Vaughn, 47, of Valparaiso, Indiana, died Thursday in Porter Hospital, Valparaiso, Indiana, following an illness.
Born in Plains Twp., she was the daughter of the late Robert Z. Alesczyk, who died December 31, 1982, and the former Regina Berrini Alesczyk, Plains Twp.
She was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Class of 1975, and received her BA and MBA from Bloomsburg University.
She was the assistant controller for Elwood Quality Steel Corporation, New Castle, for eight years and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Valparaiso.
In addition to her father, Robert, she was preceded in death by a baby brother, Russel, January 6, 1956.
Surviving are her husband, Robert J., whom she married on August 27, 1988; children, Rhianna and Russel; mother, Regina Alesczyk, Plains Twp.; brothers, Robert and his wife, Joan Alesczyk; Ronald Alesczyk; and a niece, Tara Alesczyk, Plains Twp.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains Twp., with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Hudson, with Rev. Richard A. Zavacki, pastor of St. Hedwig Church, Kingston, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society for research or to a charity of the donor's choice.
