He was born October 24th, 1914, at Davisville, MO, the son of Espy and Eura Edgar. He married the former Miss Lena Bland on November 10, 1934. She survives at the home.
Also surviving are seven sons: Donald Edgar of Kansas City and George, Paul, David, John, all of the home; four daughters, Mabel Wiecken, Versailles; Fern Vaughan, Kansas City, KS; and Naomi and Sandra of the home.
Other survivors include four brothers, Eldon Edgar, Quincy, IL; Swithen Edgar, Hillsboro, MO; William Edgar of Cuba, MO; Joseph Edgar of West Lebanon, IN; and four sisters, Icealine Monda, Cuba, MO; Esther Holt, Belleville, IL; Pauline Bay, Ketchikan, AK and Betty Adair, Cuba, MO; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Edgar was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Versailles Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. O. H. Virgin at 2:00pm Wednesday at a Versailles funeral home. Burial at the Versailles cemetery.
