Mrs. Jacobson was born July 24, 1896, at Galt to John and Cora (Ballou) State. She received her education at Galt. On Dec. 6, 1917, she married Ben H. Jacobson at the home of her parents at Galt. They farmed near Galt and south of Clarion. Her husband died in 1978, but she continued to live on the farm until moving to Clarion in 1982. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had been active in the United Methodist Women and circles of the church. She also was a member of the Lincoln Ladies Union and the Square Circle Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Mildred) Lewellyn, Clarion, and Mrs. Ray (Wilma) Anderson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Gladys Nelson, Clarion, and Janice Peterson, St. Paul, Minn.; and one brother, Kenneth State of Apple Valley, Calif. She was preceded in deather by her parents, husband, eight brothers, one sister and one son, Kendall.
