Fred Ferris Burdette, 92, of Edmond, WV died on Thursday, April 05, 2007 at SunBridge Pine Lodge Care & Rehab in Beckley, WV. Born May 06, 1914 at Blakely, Kanawha County, WV he was the son of the late Roy W. and Betty Ann Mullins Burdette. He retired from Frances Eagle Coal Company. Mr. Burdette was a member of the Church of Christ, Oak Hill, WV and the UMWA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Irene Jarrett Burdette; one son, Fred L. Burdette and a grandson, Todd Burdette. Survivors include daughters, Gloria J. Treadway of Edmond, WV and Shirley Ann Maddy of Princeton, WV; one son, Roy Martin Burdette of Gauley Bridge, WV; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Private graveside rites and committal service was held on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Montgomery Memorial Park in London with Rev. Anderson Jarrett officiating with burial following.
