Services for Elsie L. Baker, 79, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Baker died Friday, July 9, 1993 at the home. She was born in Smithville Ark., and had lived in the KCK area most of her life. Ms. Baker was a homemaker. She was a member of the Riverview General Baptist church and had attended the Belton assembly of God for the last 13 years. Surviving are three sons, the Rev. Bill Baker, Belton, Mo., Jerry Baker, Leavenworth, and Michael D. Baker, Merriam; three daughters, Glenda S. Lane, Leavenworth, Virginia L. Gunter, KCK, and Barbara Myers, of the home; three half-brothers, Lewis A. Banks, Roland Park, Edward D. Banks, Buckland, Mo., and Arlin J. Banks, Kansas City, Mo.; five sisters, Laura James, Agnes Lester, and Maxine Mauzey, all of KCK; Dorothy Conatser, Truman, Ark., and Edna Caster, Raytown, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
