A Mother in Israel Gone
Mrs. S.A. Hobson, wife of our well-known fellow-citizen, Nicholas Hobson, died yesterday morning at the residence of her son in Edgefield, at the advanced age of sixty-nine. Mrs. Hobson was married in Alabama in 1824 and came to Nashville in 1826, and at the time of her death had resided here nearly fifty years. She leaves one son and two daughters; one of the latter is the wife of Hon. E.H. English, the present Chief Justice of Arkansas, and the other is the wife of Col. F.P. Cahill, of this city.
Married: On the 24th Inst, by the Rev. Mr. Peck, Mr. Nicholas Hobson, to Miss Sarah Ann Smith, Daughter of Captain Geo. Smith, all of Madison County. Franklin Enquirer, Tuscumbia Ala. April 7 1824
