Charles Ira Abel, resident of Mechanicville for many years, was found dead Saturday at the home of his son, William Abel, Warsaw. Mr. Abel was born in Willow Glen, 79 years ago, and was employed for many years at the city pumping station. Survivors besides his son, William, are another son, Clifford Abel, New York; one daughter, Mrs. L E. Lanfair, Montague, Mass.; one niece, Miss Gertrude Groom, Cohoes, and three nephews, Elmer Devoe, this city, Wyatt Martin, Syracuse, and George Martin, Chicago. The funeral will be tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the J. Dwight Dunn Funeral Home, 319 Park Ave. The Rev. James K. Stewart, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Stillwater Union Cemetery.
