Homer T. Langdon, 90, died peacefully at home Friday while holding the hand of his loving wife of 65 years.
Homer was born in Fulton, NY, and lived in Syracuse for most of his life. He was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Homer served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a sales professional for over 65 years. He was an avid bowler as well as a 50-year member of the Sackett Tract Bowling League and a die-hard NY Yankees fan. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 6282 and the St. Louis Athletic Club. Homer was also a fond patron of Chase's Cigar Store in Syracuse. Homer was predeceased by two daughters, Joanne Langdon and Regina Jeong. In addition to his loving wife Elizabeth (Jakubowski) Langdon, he is survived by his children, Michael (Cathy) Langdon, Diane (Don) Hall, Brian (Cindy) Langdon, Allan Langdon, David (Holly) Langdon, Jerry Langdon, Douglas (Tina) Langdon, Gregory (Virginia) Langdon and Jeffrey (Paige) Langdon; son-in-law MinSig Jeong; his brothers, William, Kenneth and Patrick; sisters Marge, AnnaMae, Viola, Gladys and Reta; as well as several nieces and nephews. Homer was blessed with 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Calling Hours: 4 to 7 Monday at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee St., Syracuse.
Funeral Service: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Hollis Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Ave., Syracuse. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
