Russell Lee Dunavent, 77, of Owenton, died May 22, 2005, at the New Horizons Medical Center.
Born March 31, 1928, he was the son of the late Clarence and May Nistus Dunavent, was retired from the state highway department and was a member of the Owenton First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carlene Stewart Dunavent; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Deedi Dunavent of Owenton; a brother, Don Dunavent of Owenton; and a grandson, Adam Dunavent. He was preceded in death by siblings J.C., Willard, Eugene "Buster" and Pete Dunavent, Katherine Mersch, Ruth Hawkins and Thelma Pearl Lusby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. May 25 at Owenton First Christian Church with Bro. Bill Watson and Bro. David Wotier officiating. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery.
