SHELBY - Elma M. Cohagan, 88, of Shelby, died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Shelby, with the Rev. Jamie Norwich-McLennan officiating. Burial is at Shelby Cemetery. There is no visitation.
Mrs. Cohagan was born Oct. 22, 1916, in Butler County, to Harry and Viola (Harris) Wilson. She grew up in Butler County, where she received her education. She worked on her father's farm before working as a short order cook, waitress and bartender. She also worked as a housekeeper at the Shelby Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred (John Sr.) Shepardson of Riverside, Calif., and Marilyn Christie of Columbus; one sister, Mila Bunch of Lincoln; seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Wilson; husband, Adolph Alt; husband, Don Cohagen; one son, Lewis Wilson; and two sisters, Mildred and Evelyn.
